 ANNOUNCEMENT

“Present and future of fluorescence microscopy and spectroscopy”

Palladin Institute of Biochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU), Kyiv.

13-17  January, 2014

The course is one of the series of meetings referring to the project “Swiss-Ukrainian-Hungarian institutional partnership: strengthening research and education in the field of advanced fluorescence techniques”. This three-year project is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation’s program “Scientific Co-operation between Eastern Europe and Switzerland” (SCOPES 2012-2014).

Aim and purpose

The course is intended for individuals wishing an in-depth introduction to the principles of fluorescence spectroscopy  and microscopy and its applications to the Life Sciences. The major aim of our project is to combine and share this expertise in the development of these techniques and to provide young scientists with advanced knowledge in the field of fluorescence.

Course organization

We will be glad to see you at the course «Present and future of fluorescence microscopy and spectroscopy», starting on Monday, January 13-17, 2014 at the Palladin Institute of Biochemistry, Kyiv.  The course consists of lectures and practical training in spectroscopy and fluorescence microscopy. The practical course will be limited to 20 participants from Switzerland, Hungary and Ukraine. Lecture sessions will convene in the mornings and will be open to the entire community. We kindly invite you participate in the lectures and hope it would be interesting and useful for you.  See the program below.
